Heidi Williams

Practice Leader

Heidi first discovered the Dharma in 2011 when a friend recommended she read Buddhism for Mothers. It was a lightbulb moment that inspired her to learn to meditate and take refuge. With three young children she took the moments that were possible to learn with various teachers from different (mostly Buddhist) traditions and continue her meditation practice.

On retreat in early 2020, she asked for a recommendation for a teacher, and was given Mingyur Rinpoche’s name. She finally looked him up in early 2021 and has found his teaching’s to be incredibly clear and accessible, as well as transformative in the way that he also offers practical advice for practice in daily life. Heidi has found the Tergar community and learning program to be a rich structure support, and feels so happy to have a burgeoning sangha right here in Australia. Heidi is about to complete the Joy of Living learning program, and is excited to commence the Path of Liberation at the end of 2023.
