Patrick was born in the Paris region, and graduated as an electronics engineer in Grenoble, a city at the heart of the French Alps. He has since migrated to Melbourne, and is married, with two grown up children. Patrick is an IT professional, advising corporations in deploying solutions to protect digital resources online - such as banks, health insurance companies or online retailers.

Patrick from a young age had some attraction to the Tibetan world - monks and lamas - even building the fantasy of becoming a "Tibetan" monk with their "magic power". His first connection came with a public talk from His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Melbourne, but it wasn’t until the year 2000 that he firmly engaged in the Dharma path after having discovered and devoured Sogyal Rinpoche's Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. After Sogyal Rinpoche’s paranivarna, he decided that he needed to follow closely a living master. Since Sogyal Rinpoche had many times introduced Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche's teachings, and given that they have a common lineage with Nyoshul Khen Rinpoche, Patrick joined Tergar three years ago on the Vajrayana online Dzogchen program. It has been since a great opportunity for Patrick to further deepen his Dharma knowledge and practice, as Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche holds both the Nyingma and Kagyu lineages, so Patrick has been both on a familiar ground, but as well on a discovery journey with the Joy of living program, and the Mahamudra teachings.
