Living the Truth of Our Connection: Meditating on Interdependence
An intimate live event in Sydney with Tergar Facilitators Myoshin and Edwin Kelley
In a world that often encourages independence and self-reliance, many of us are left feeling disconnected and overwhelmed.
This program invites you into a radically different way of seeing and being: a space to explore the profound truth of our interconnection. Through teachings, meditation, small group reflection, and experiential practices, we'll explore interdependence not just as an idea but as a living, breathing truth. By reconnecting to our shared humanity and our deep belonging to this planet, we awaken the compassion and wisdom already within us.
On Friday July 11th we will begin with a talk on how a deepening awareness of interdependence is crucial to living in a harmonious way. On Saturday the 12th we will unfold it to experiential understanding with a daylong practice that further explores interdependence through meditation and reflection.
Although we recommend doing both days, it is possible to do Friday and Saturday as stand alone events in person or via Zoom.
Come join us in a community of care to explore how the practice of interdependence can bring healing to ourselves, our relationships, and the world.

Find Your Inner Strength During Your Breast Cancer Journey - A 6-Week Meditation Program
We all have innate qualities of wisdom, love and compassion and awareness yet it is hard to stay in touch with these qualities when our health and wellbeing has been deeply challenged. Getting the diagnosis can bring about a lot of emotions and is certainly overwhelming. There's so much to consider, reflect on, and process.
We invite you to join a special program designed specifically for those walking the breast cancer journey led by Tergar Instructor Myoshin Kelley and Chief Operating Officer of Tergar International Emilda Rahim.
This 6-week program was developed from Emilda’s vision of integrating meditation into the recovery journey based on her own path of recovery. It is brought to life through the teaching expertise of Myoshin Kelley, an expert in the Six Paramitas, whose wisdom and guidance ensure participants receive practical tools and support to incorporate meditation into their daily lives. Together, they will focus on helping participants navigate the challenges of recovery and build a foundation for lasting well-being.
Through the ancient wisdom of the six paramitas (Buddhist perfections), the qualities of generosity, ethical conduct, patience, joyful effort, meditation and wisdom, you'll discover gentle yet powerful ways to:
Navigate your healing journey with greater ease
Transform daily challenges into opportunities for growth
Connect with your innate wisdom and compassion
Find ease amidst uncertainty
During each class we will explore one of these qualities and bring it back to our journey and how it can support us. Each session offers simple, practical tools you can weave into your daily life without adding burden to your existing care routine.
Both Emilda and Myoshin look forward to being part of this transformative journey and supporting you as you discover the power of meditation to restore balance, strength, and purpose.
Prerequisites for attending are Joy of Living Level 1 or 6 months of a steady meditation practice and a willingness to explore.

About Myoshin Kelley
At a young age, Myoshin decided that school could not teach her what she wanted to know and that life would be her teacher. This led her to a lifelong journey of living in spiritual communities while exploring the inner terrain of being human.
Myoshin received dharma instruction from renowned Buddhist teachers Chanmyay Sayadaw, Sayadaw U Pandita, Sayadaw U Tejaniya, and Hogen Yamahata. She also developed a great love of retreats and at one point temporarily ordained as a nun in Myanmar. Myoshin’s training as a meditation teacher began with Joseph Goldstein and Sharon Salzberg at the Insight Meditation Society (IMS) in 1994. She was appointed the teacher in residence at the Forest Refuge, the long-term practice center at IMS, in 2003.
In 1998, Myoshin was introduced to Mingyur Rinpoche. Twelve years later she moved to Minneapolis to help Rinpoche and others with the formation of Tergar Meditation Community. For a decade she led the team to oversee the formation of Tergar meditation groups and the training of Tergar community leaders. As a Tergar instructor, Myoshin leads programs that experientially explore how the practice of meditation and the wisdom of an open heart support the path of awakening.
Nature has been a strong teacher and support for Myoshin throughout her life. She loves to do solitary retreats in nature as well as hike, bike, cross-country ski, and now swim in the ocean on the beautiful Sapphire Coast in Australia, where she lives with her husband Edwin.
About Emilda Rahim

With a Master’s in Executive Coaching and 29 years of experience in organisation and human resource management, Emilda combines strategic leadership, operational expertise, and community building to foster growth and transformation in individuals and Tergar communities.
Her extensive career reflects a deep commitment to cultivating meaningful connections and creating inclusive spaces where people feel supported and inspired. Emilda’s own recovery journey has profoundly influenced her work, motivating her to contribute to programs that support others in using meditation as a tool for healing and resilience.
